It might sound like a double negative to ask whether beauty products can increase your natural beauty because as a definition beauty products are there to cover your natural skin. More and more these days though we, as women, are told to embrace our natural beauty, to use products that give you that 'natural' look and to look after your skin so you don't always have to slap on the makeup!
With this in mind I have put together a short list of a few types of products that can really help bring out your natural beauty so you don't have to spend your hard earned cash on concealers or skin remedies!
Natural Mineral Makeups
Natural mineral makeup is something that has been around, commercially, for quite a while but I think 2013 is going to be a big year for this kind of product. Thousands of years ago in Ancient Egypt women were using natural roots, herbs and flowers to create their distinct makeup looks and it seems it's slowly making its way back into fashion.
Mineral makeups, such as foundations and blushers use minerals naturally sourced from around the world to give you your makeup look. Everything from the smell to the colour is natural and these kinds of makeups can not only give you the natural look but they can also help your skin.
These days our normal, everyday makeups contain a concoction of chemicals and ingredients we probably couldn't pronounce the name of. They can make your face feel heavy and if left on for too long can cause spots and blemishes (don't go to sleep with your makeup on my mum always told me!)
The difference with natural mineral makeup is that the natural oils and minerals within can really help reinvigorate your skin; it doesn't feel as heavy and can actually improve your skin underneath the makeup, making it a great addition to any woman's makeup bag!
Invest in Skincare Products
It sounds simple, if you want to get that natural look, improve your skin by investing in skin care products, but not everybody does!
There are a whole range of products out there, from cleansers and exfoliants to moisturisers and eye treatments that really do work well and can bring out your natural beauty. Brand such as Dermalogica have a whole range of great products that really do work at great prices.
By adding these kinds of products to your routine, moisturising in the morning and evening, exfoliating regularly and even just taking your makeup off at night can really help your skin and enhance and improve it.
Invest in 'Luxury Makeup'
This, to some people, may be a no brainer. When I say 'Luxury Makeup' I mean higher quality makeup that, yes you may have to pay more for, but in general will be better for your skin and your look in general.
If you want to look after your skin and get the natural look you have to invest a good bit of money into your makeup bag. Like anything, the more money you put into it, the higher quality the product will be and the more benefits you will more than likely get.
